The latest and some pics

Okay instead of getting better at the blog thing I think I am getting worse. As always lots has been going on. I had Ivan's 30th birthday bash and it was a huge success. Our friends and family are such a fun group so the whole army theme really turned out great. Everyone got really creative including myself. I couldn't find anything with a camouflage print on it so I made my shirt and a shirt for my cousin. Watch out Martha Stewart. ; ) From what Ivan remembers he said he had lots of fun..dork. I love him so much, old and all. haa ha Hey I got a couple more years to tease him. No but seriously, I wanted him to have a fun birthday party with all of his close friends and family of course...because he deserves to have all of the people that love and adore him almost as much as I do around him to celebrate. I love you babe and I wish you many more years so we can grow old together forever. xoxo

Last week was Ethan's first day of school. Labor day weekend was fun but come Monday it was an emotional day for both Ivan and myself. The thought of our baby going to Kindergarten was a rude awakening that our baby really is getting older. I love him so much and it's so hard to "let go" (just a LITTLE) and give him the space he needs to create that independence. sigh.. I cried a lot on Monday and while helping him pick out his outfit he noticed I was crying, but I didn't want him to know I was said so I just played it off and said I yawned. He was so happy and excited the last thing I needed to do was put that sadness in him. So we got up Tuesday morning ate breakfast and took him to his first day of school. He looked so handsome! So we meet his teacher stood for about a half hour and we gave him kisses and left. The 3 1/2 hours took forever to pass for us..it felt like days and I missed him so much. So we finally went back to pick him up and just observed him as he ate his lunch. Oh and can you believe that a kid tried to take his money while in line!! Luckily Momma taught him well, and he told the kid something (don't know what cause we were just observing) and the kid stepped back into line and didn't do it again. After lunch he was released and Jacob and Daddy spent the rest of the day with him. I had important mtgs so I had to return to work but it was a fun, emotional day for me. My baby is a Kindergartner!!
