I'm a big boy now....

As the days, weeks, months and years fly by my baby gets that much bigger. I can not believe that he is already in 1st grade. Full time school, no more Mommy & Daddy in class with him every now and then. It’s time to be a big boy now.

Wednesday was most definitely bitter sweet for me..I love the fact that he is so independent and self confident, but yet I feel less needed in a way. I know this is not the case, because he reassures me of his need for my love everyday when I get home from work. Yet, it still is so hard watching your little one grow up so fast. It feels like yesterday when he would “demand” milk in his sippy cup (warmed up of course)… I love you E and Mommy is so proud of who you are growing up to be. I wish you a wonderful, fun, and joyful year as a first grader!

Laughlin July 2010

Yes, it was that time again...The Annual Lockwood "Amaya, Dubon, Venturina, Blanshine" trip. Wow, I tell ya we just keep growing...darn baby makers..lol All 62 of us had so much fun, the weather was awesome and the water was amazing! There is nothing like 78 degree water when it's 115* out. I have an amazing family and I love them oh so much. All of the kids had a blast and as always I was so happy to be able to share this moment with my kids and hubby.

A little family history behind why we go during this time is for my Grandma, who celebrated her 71st. Following her birthday is my Mom's birthday and Mom & Dad's anniversary! Happy 29th mom and Dad...I love you guys so much and I thank you for all that you do for us. Oh, and I took my God daughter with us who celebrated her 6th bday! Love you Mariyah.

This time around I really didn't take to many pics, mostly because we were at the lake most of the time. I will have to post more once I collect them from everyone.

Jacob at the buffet, look at them big o' lips.. = )
Ethan on the ski waiting for a ride..could careless about the camera at this moment.

Jacob loving the water...to cute with his big shades, haha

Beautiful and peaceful....this is why I LOVE going! Be back at the end of this month...woohoo

Life is beachy...

So about 3 weeks ago we had planned a beach trip with some friends but sadly, life happens and things come up (Jen! lol jk). So Ethan is they type of boy that does a count down for family outings/events. With that said come Friday he knew we had 2 days till our “cancelled” beach trip. We so couldn't break his little heart so Saturday we surprised him and Jacob with a day trip to the beach. Ivan had some things to do around the house, so we didn’t get to the beach until about 2pm. In all honestly it was plenty of time to be able to hang out and enjoy the beach. It was overcast but still warm, and the water for me was just to cold. For Ethan it was just right..crazy boy! He wanted me to go all the way in but instead we compromised and I just wet my legs…okay feet. LOL

6 o’clock came around and the tide started coming in high. So high that I had to swoop up Jacob while Ivan lifted up the beach blanket & stroller. Right then we figured it was time to go. We backed up and went to get some dinner. We went to this hot dog on a stick type of place that I have been going to since I was little. Oh boy, they have the best cheese on a stick ever! After that it started to get really chilly so we put on some sweaters and walked the pier and the shops…and before we went home we just happened to be parked right by a donut shop! Hot chocolate and donuts to go!

Wonderful time with my boys and my “bean”.

On our way...

Putting the straw into his juice...so independent! = (

Maxin' and relaxin...Love you babe.

Me and the Jacker's.

Gotta love the futchie face!

Bubba E..you need to stop growing up so fast. Momma loves you so much!

The happiest place on Earth....

We totally planned on surprising Ethan with a trip to Disneyland for his first Spring break. We thought of leaving Jacob behind because the thought of lines, tons of people traffic and a long day just made us think he wouldn’t be up for it. Or should I say it would be too hard. Not at all in a bad way but I didn’t want him to be suffering or crying in the stroller ya know. So Wednesday came around and we purchased our tickets online. Then we picked up the boys and the more I saw Jacob, the more I felt like a horrible Mom. I mean, who leaves their baby behind when going to Disneyland…me??? Driving home Ivan looked at me and said, I feel wrong about leaving Jacob and immediately I said ME TOO! Then we started talking about when we take pictures Jacob is not going to be in them, etc, etc. So we called Ivan’s Mom and let her know we changed our mind. We figured if he got the urge to run a muck we would just go to an area where he could do so…

So we get up get ready and Ethan is still clueless about where we are going. Even in the parking structure he asks if we are at a mall. (I think he was half asleep) So it was not until we got to the trolley that he recognized just where we were at. We got huge hugs & kisses and the smile on his face was just enough to melt my heart. We ended up getting there a ½ hour after opening and hit the big rides first. They have a cool system, when one parent waits for the other to get off the ride they then swap and the one waiting first totally bypasses the line. This was awesome, not only did I get to go on the big rides but E was able to go on them twice… A couple hours later we headed down to Toontown, and that is where we let Jacob play in a mini park. We then went on rides where we could all get on and they totally loved It’s A Small World. This day was turning out to be perfect! The weather was great, the lines were short, and both boys were being soo good! The more we commented on how much fun Jake’ was having the worse we felt. Never again do we try and leave our baby behind…

13hrs later…yes 13hrs, we went on the train as our last ride and Ethan knocked out. Jacob was up watching the fireworks but E was out like a light. It was a wonderful family outing and I can’t wait for our next adventure.

It was just a bit to early for them...lol

This is what happens when your toddler puts on his mouse ears all by himself!

2010 Family Cruise

Okay, so I just realized that I never posted any pictures of our family cruise. Seven days away from cleaning, cooking, working, alarm clocks...what more can a person ask for. What a blessing! As always we had our big o’ fam-bam on the ship to enjoy this wonderful time with. The boys had tons of fun, and boy did they eat! Ivan and I had an opportunity to go out alone a couple nights and we also did an excursion without the boys. It was soo much fun and I thank my Mom & Dad for giving us that time to spend together. I had a wonderful time on our first big vacation as a family of 4. I am such a lucky gal to have such sweet cute adorable boys..all 3 of them. I love you all and I can't wait till the big cruise in 2011!

Me and my stinky winky...

My mom snapped this pic of us when we took our family photo....love it!

I am such a lucky gal to have such a wonderful husband. I can honestly say I am not the easiest gal to live with, but I am working on it. I can get into my moods and just simply get an attitude for the littlest thing. Or many times just be a pain in the butt and want everything to go my way. However, at the end of the day I come to realize that it's no longer about just me...it's us. Sure I have been married for 5yrs but people don't completely change overnight, or at least I don't. For me it's taking me a while, but I am trying... trying not to snap or throw a look when Ivan doesn't close the shower curtain, put his shoes away, etc.. Yes, I am a NEAT/CLEAN freak, with the exception of my closet...lol. But I can't keep freakin out over lil stuff, I need to focus more on the positive....like how much I love my husband for all the love he gives me, and everything he has done for us and most important for giving me my beautiful boys. We have so much to be thankful for but often don't show just how much we are thankful towards one another. So Babe, I am thankful for you in every way. I love you soo much. Sure, you might be a pain in my butt but at the end of the day your always there to rub it. haha I couldn't let it get that sappy...

Soooo, with that said tomorrow is date night!! Woohoo, no kids (Thanks Lo). I/We love our boys to pieces, but I honestly believe that in order to keep our marriage healthy, fun, exciting, and full of love we need to have US time. Even if it's a couple hours to have dinner or a few drinks. However, being this is our first date night this year we are gonna do it all. We are going out for Sushi, and going to watch Alice and Wonderland...fun! I can't wait for our date babe...I love you.
